NORTHAMPTON 44-26 LONDON IRISH (Friday)

Nick Phipps was the one to open the account for London, but the joy didn’t last long when Fraser Dingwall reached Irish ingoal and evened things out. Ollie Hassell-Collins reversed that partial result and put the visitors 7-14. Then, from so many twists and turns, Alex Mitchell put the locals up with two tries with a score that he could never turn around. In the second half, Ollie Sleightholme scored two conquests and Piers Francis one more that left unanswered for those in green and white.
