The Williams, second generation Argentine who could play for Italy

Tobías Williams has just been called up to the U20 squad in Italy, and in case you have your baptism, it will be the first time that father and son wear the azzurra shirt. Tobías is a 2001 litter and is the son of the Tucuman Frederick Williams, exfullback of Tucuman Rugby and the selected Orange.

The father came to wear the SIC shirt for three seasons and he became champion in 1986, but in 1991 he emigrated to Italian rugby (Milano). Once in Europe he was summoned for the selected Sevens of Italy (he played tournaments in Dubai, Paris and in Italy).

He had a chance to play in the main team: His only test-match for Italy was against the flaming world champion South Africa, on November 12, 1995., at the Olympic Stadium in Rome (defeat 40-21). In that match, Federico Williams wore jersey 15 and shared training with Diego Domínguez from Cordoba.

Tobias He was born in Milan on June 11, 2001, in 2015 he played for a short time in Tucumán Rugby (about three months), but he trained in rugby at ASR Milano. Like his father, Tobías play fullback, although it can also serve as a center. He currently plays in France, at USON Nevers Rugby Club competing in ProD2.

The call for the selected U20, whose coach is Massimo Brunello, is to participate in next week’s training with a view to the Six Nations of the category, which has a possible starting date of June 19 (it will only be three weeks competition).
