This weekend there was a lot of action from the motor world. From the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix, going through the Imola Formula 1 Grand Prix and even the race IndyCar on Alabama. In the latter there was a spectacular accident which involved several pilots of the category, which saw the return of Romain grosjean to the competition.
In the first lap of the race that was held at the Alabama circuit, several drivers of the American category had a shocking moment that paralyzed the hearts of the fans. Among those involved was the category champion in 2012, Ryan Hunter-Reay, which saved his life thanks to the Aeroscreen, which serves the same function as the Halo in Formula 1.
The track that was run last weekend was different from the one that occurs in most races. The test in Alabama took place on a very complicated circuit, different from the famous ovals so characteristic of the category. The various curves and long straights of the Alabama circuit meant that some drivers had to get used to another circuit.
Ryan Hunter Reay posted some images on his Twitter account and made it clear that he saved his life. The security measures that were installed in the IndyCar were essential so that there is no tragedy in Alabama. The 2021 champion showed how one of a rival’s wheels hit the safety Aeroscreen.
After several months of inactivity, Romain Grosjean returned to officially compete in a race. He did it this Sunday in Alabama and his result was not bad at all. The Frenchman finished in seventh place in the test and expressed his happiness for this. Grosjean was the protagonist of one of the most important accidents in Formula 1 in recent years.
