(EFE) – Inter Milan did not go beyond 1-1 in their visit to the recently promoted Spezia, in their first game after the Super League storm, but the point they achieved also allowed them to reinforce their leadership of Serie A, with ten units ahead of their archrival, Milan, second, defeated by Sassuolo.
Antonio Conte’s team, the first Italian to announce his resignation from the Super League, had a bad time for a few minutes during his visit to Spezia, in a field in which Milan already fell to the organization and competitive soul of the boys from Vincenzo Italian.
Brazilian Diego Farías put Spezia ahead in the 12th minute and the team from the Liguria region managed to defend their advantage until 39th, when a new great move by Moroccan Achraf Hakimi ended with a cross finished off by Croatian Ivan Perisic.
The second half was an interista monologue, but the Spezia wall did not collapse. Of course, Inter brushed the advantage on three huge opportunities, with two goals disallowed, one against the Belgian Romelu Lukaku and one against the Argentine Lautaro Martínez, both offside, and a shot to the post by the Albiceleste “Toro” himself.
Inter chained their second consecutive draw, although they are still on their way to winning their nineteenth league title.
On the other hand, Spezia added another point that brings him closer to salvation. He now has a five-point margin over the red zone.
