Premiership Rugby confirmed that on date 19 the public will return in some games. Confirmation of other games is still missing, but there are already three that have ensured the presence of the fans.
“The government has indicated that fans may be allowed to attend sports matches from 17 May,” said Phil Winstanley, Director of Rugby for Premiership Rugby.
The two confirmed matches that will have an audience are:
Monday May 17
Newcastle Falcons-Northampton Saints
Bristol Bears Gloucester Rugby
Confirmation of the other matches of that day is still missing, to see if there will be an audience or not.
London Irish v Exeter Chiefs
Bath Rugby v Sale Sharks
Leicester Tigers v Harlequins
For their part, Wasps and Worcester were going to play with the public, but the local team rejected that request so it will not be done.
