SR Australia: Rebels beat Waratahs

The 10th date of Super Rugby Australia and Western Force got an important and agonizing win against Reds 30-27, in Perth. Thanks to this triumph, the Perth team qualified for the semifinals of the tournament where they will have to face the Brumbies. On Saturday, Rebels claimed a 36-25 victory over Waratahs despite having two sent off, in the game that closed the regular season.

WARATAHS 25-36 REBELS (Saturday)
Despite having two sent off, Rebels was able to stay with the victory in their visit to Waratahs 36-25. Both were for dangerous tackles for Isi Naisarani 20 minutes into the first half and for Pone Fa’amausili four from the end. The local tries were Mark Nawaqanitawase, Jack Maddocks and Carlo Tizzano. While for the visitors they turned Stacey Ili, Michael Wells, Robert Leota and Matt Gibon.

WESTERN FORCE 30-27 REDS (Friday)
With Tomás Cubelli and Domingo Miotti from the start, Force turned the score around and took the victory against Reds 30-27. In addition, Santiago Medrano entered the beginning of the second half, for a historic day of the team that for the first time managed to qualify for the playoffs in Super Rugby. The figure of the match was Jordan Olowofela who converted three tries for the Perth team and the one who completed the result was Feleti Kaitu’u. The Tucumán opening scored 10 points with his foot. While for the red cast they converted Hunter Paisami, Taniela Tupou and Filipo Daugunu. With this defeat, Reds lost the invitation and will wait for the Brumbies-Force winner in the final.
