Leeds United vs. Manchester United - Match Report - April 25, 2021

(EFE) — Manchester United did not go from a draw to zero against Leeds United of Argentine Marcelo Bielsa in the first game of the ‘Red Devils’ after the announcement of the European Super League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, who were greeted with protests before the start of the match by a plane flying over Elland Road calling for the resignation of the United owner, drew a zero tie that leaves him ten points behind the City leader.

The match was quite pale, with few chances for the two teams, worthy of two teams that already have little at stake in this competition. United, who had a chance at the feet of Marcus Rashford, are practically assured of second place, while Leeds had a very difficult time approaching the European positions.

Solskjaer, without thinking about next Thursday’s match against Roma, gave minutes to many starters and went for the match in the second half, putting Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani on the field of play. He also confirmed his preference at goal for Dean Henderson, who looks like the favorite in the Premier League.

The ‘Red Devils’, with the added point, maintain an advantage of eight over Leicester City, third, while Leeds remain ninth, with 47 points, one more than Arsenal.
