The Formula 1 it is full of stories and great champions in its 71 years of competition. Many fans remember to this day the stellar moments of figures like Niki Lauda, Ayrton senna or Michael Schumacher. Several years after these figures, the flame of passion for motors is still alive, and many are excited to see the vintage cars still in operation.
This weekend, Formula 1 fans have a more than special program. Although no official race will be held, the legendary Monaco Circuit dresses up to receive the most famous cars. In the streets of the principality the Historical Grand Prize, that gathers the jewels of the category of the last years.
In the last hours a video in which it can be seen as a Ferrari that belonged to Niki Lauda in the 1975 season roars again. The Ferrari 312T, who was driving the Austrian was one of the most famous of that litter of cars. Over six seasons, and with some variations, this car won four titles.
In 1976 and with a variation of this car, Niki Lauda suffered the famous accident that almost cost him his life on the circuit of Nurburgring. There the Austrian went against the fences of the extensive German route, called Nordschleife. Lauda suffered very serious burns that took him away from some races of the championship, returning at the circuit of Monza.
This accident was reflected in the film Rush, which recalls the 1976 championship fight between Niki Lauda and James hunt. In addition, he talks about everything both drivers suffered to win the crown, Lauda’s recovery from his accident and everything that Hunt meant for Formula 1 media coverage.
