Liam messam, former All Blacks player, returned and joined the Chiefs roster for Super Rugby Aotearoa, due to the injuries of Kaylum Boshier, Mitchell Karpik and Simon Parker. The forward was called as injury cover, with Tom Florence.
At 37 years old, the experienced third row will be as a reserve in the team. It should be remembered that he played more than 10 seasons with the Hamilton team, and that in 2013, he was enshrined in Super Rugby.
Boshier suffered a shoulder injury during last weekend’s game against the Hurricanes, and will be out for six months for surgery. Also, Harpik has a blow to the knee in one of the practices, while Parker underwent surgery and will last six months.
