Far from forgetting it completely, the legacy of Fausto Gresini continues in MotoGP. The Italian who was one of the most idolized riders and one of the most important leaders of the paddock, passed away due to complications from the coronavirus, at the end of 2020. However, his mark will remain forever in the paddock of the highest category of motorcycling.
Fausto Gresini had several teams in the Motorcycle World Championship. Under the name of Gresini Racing, both in MotoGP (and Aprilia) like in Moto2, Moto3 and even in MotoE (electric category), the legacy of the two-time Moto3 World Champion continues. A few hours ago, the wife and children of Faustro Gresini made a fundamental announcement for the continuity of the structure.
Nadia Padovani, Y Luca Y Lorenzo Gresini, announced that Fausto’s team will continue under his tutelage. This gave respite to the pilots of the different categories that run under the wing of the team. “I like to think that Fausto’s two families, ours and Racing’s, have come together to carry out everything he was planning,” said his wife.
“Having a team in the top flight again is undoubtedly something very challenging, with a team that is going to be created from scratch. But I know that everyone in the company is giving 110% to make their dream come true. Personally, I see it as a real mission, a challenge. At the moment we are talking with several manufacturers and in a few weeks we will communicate the details, “confirmed Padovani.
