Goals from Argentina’s Sergio Agüero and Spain’s Ferran Torres in the space of two minutes gave Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City a 0-2 win at Crystal Palace that brings them closer to the English Premier title.

If Manchester United, second, lose this Sunday in their field with Liverpool, their neighbor will be mathematically proclaimed champion, with four days remaining.

Guardiola made eight changes with respect to the team that beat PSG in Paris, in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals, placing Sergio Agüero and Raheem Sterling in the starting lineup.

With a 10-point lead over second-placed Manchester United, City were poised to beat Crystal Palace to put pressure on United.

Everything was resolved between the 57th minute, when Agüero received a pass from Benjamin Mendy inside the area and scored the first, and the 59th, when Ferrán Torres increased the City count after picking up a rebound and shooting low to Guaita’s left post .

City increases its account to 80 points, thirteen more than United.
