Matías Suárez will fulfill 10 isolation this Friday, May 7, but he again had a “close contact” with a positive COVID-19 and his return to River Plate could be delayed.
The forward comes from a long absence, first due to a synovitis in his knee, which was added to his preventive quarantine. In all the tests that have been carried out so far, the scorer was negative, but this Thursday he was going to be swabbed again, by another close contact, as reported by Javier Gil Navarro in SportsCenter AM.
For these days it was planned that both Suárez and Jonantan Maidana, already recovered from the coronavirus, would undergo cardiological studies to be discharged.
If everything goes well, Maidana could be available for Sunday’s game against Aldosivi for the League Cup, while Suarez’s return will surely have to wait.
