Guido Pella dropped from the Masters 1000 in Rome

Guido Pella will not play the Masters 1000 in Rome. The Argentine dropped out of the tournament before his presentation, which was to be against Marton Fucsovics. Nishioka will replace the Bahianse in the main draw.

Pella, current 58th in the world, came from leaving in the first round of Madrid when he fell 6-2 and 4-4 against Jannick Sinner. and in the second in Munich when he was 6-4 up and 0-2 in the second against Millman. The problem that has been complicating Pella is in the right adductor muscle.

The Argentine comes with several complications since the beginning of the pandemic, including having missed a tournament (Cincinnati 2020) due to a false positive, arriving at other tournaments with little training (US Open 2020, ATP Cup 2021) in addition to missing playing in Córdoba 2021 for having had coronavirus.
