Nadal - Shapovalov, the highlight of Thursday in Rome

Rafael Nadal (3rd) kicked off his adventure at the Foro Italico. He made his debut with a 7-5 and 6-4 victory over the young Jannik Sinner (18th) and made it to the round of 16 of the Masters 1000 in Rome, where he will face Denis Shapovalov (14th).

The manacorí comes from losing in the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open against the later champion Alexander Zverev. In 2020 he arrived in the Italian capital until that same instance and fell in front of Diego Schwartzman. The Canadian defeated Kami Majchrzak and Stefano Travaglia in his first matches and, if champion, will return to the Top 10 of the ranking.

The setting for this meeting will be the Central Court, not before 9 AM (Argentina time), 8 (Chile) and 7 (Colombia, Peru and Mexico) and it can be seen on the screen of ESPN 2.
