Arum no cree que alguien quiera pagar por una pelea en PPV entre Crawford y Shawn Porter

Bob arum admitted that he has no faith whatsoever that someone would want to buy for a Pay Per View fight to see Terence crawford against Shawn porter.

“We can make a great fight to Crawford against Porter, but we would have a big problem ”, he commented Arum in order to The Athletic. “I don’t know who wants to pay for it.”

“There is a limit to what we can get from ESPN and pay-per-view, ”he said. “I don’t have any kind of confidence in getting a good number. Crawford has never done anything in PPVI have nothing against him, but it is the truth ”.

The president of Top rank Know what Crawford needs a big fight to return in 2021, but the recent announcement of Manny pacquiao Y Errol spence made it difficult for a renowned fighter to go for the welterweight champion of the OMB.

It peeked in the first instance Josh taylor, who was just proclaimed the unified super lightweight champion, but is likely to have a fight against the mandatory challenger Jack Catterall, so the British will not be able to go up to the division of Terence.

Equally, Crawford held negotiations for a period with Manny pacquiao, but finally there was no final agreement and the fight collapsed.

He subsequently did not accept a 60-40 split with Errol spence, so a unification combat was also ruled out.

Arum pointed out that he did not want to take the risk of having that fight in USA, since he did not see it economically viable.

“As a businessman, I didn’t want to take such a big risk,” he confessed. “Many question me as to why I did not do the fight of Pacquiao Y Crawford on USA, but I just thought it was too risky. Hopefully now with Spence there are no bad economic results ”.
