Federico Delbonis (52nd) advanced to the semifinals of the ATP 250 Belgrade after the walkover of the spanish Roberto Carballés Baena (98º), and now he will have to face Alex Molcan (255º), a new face of the circuit.
The good tennis present of Delbonis was added the quota of luck, after going through the round without playing, he will arrive at the duel against the Slovak with a day of rest, in the second shift on Friday (around 11, in Argentina).
Delbonis confirmed in Belgrade his very good tour on brick dust and was installed among the four best in the tournament after leaving Slovakian Lukas Klein (254th), Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (79th) and Carballés for walkover on the road.
Molcan made his debut this year on the ATP circuit, and will play a semi-final instance for the first time. The 23-year-old European won four Futures tournaments, and in 2018 reached the final of the Challenger in Seville.
In the other key of the Serbian tournament will be, in the first turn, the local Novak Djokovic (1st), who defeated the Argentine Federico Coria (96th) by 6-1 and 6-0, and Andrej Martin (119th).
