The Utah Jazz suspended three fans indefinitely after a verbal altercation during Game 2 on Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies at Vivint Arena.
The team did not elaborate on the incident, which occurred amid Utah’s 141-129 victory over Memphis.
“The Utah Jazz has zero tolerance for offensive or disruptive behavior,” the Jazz said in a statement Thursday. “An incident involving a verbal altercation occurred last night during Game 2. Arena security personnel intervened and the investigation resulted in the removal and expulsion of three Jazz fans indefinitely.”
“We apologize to all who were affected by this unfortunate incident and condemn the unacceptable behavior of the fans.”
The incident marks the third since Wednesday night’s games that resulted in the expulsion of fans from the arenas.
