After announcing his departure from Valence Romans after the descent in the Pro D2, Lucas Mensa will become a new player for Stade Montois de Mont de Marsan on a two-year contract.
In this way, the Argentine will continue in the French ascent and will move to a team that has an albiceleste presence: Carlos Muzzio, José Luis González, Leandro Cedaro and Santiago Montagner.
The player himself commented to Scrum.com his happiness for his new team and for sharing the squad with the four Argentines: “I am very happy,” he assured.
In season on the Pro D2, Mensa supported six tries in the contest, despite the fact that in the beginning of it it did not add too much activity. In the last 13 Valence Romans games, the center was a starter and key to the comeback in the final days, but his team could not save itself from relegation due to the bad start of the tournament with eight consecutive defeats.
In this way, Mensa joins the departure of Segundo Tuculet from Valence Romans. The fullback became Montauban’s new reinforcement.
