The Extreme E is one of the new categories promoted by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). The Extreme E is here to stay. This category has new modes of competition. The first one is that it is a mandatory mixed category. Both men and women compete to find out who drives better in this modality, which is very similar to the most important Rally championships in the world, such as the Dakar.
On the other hand, the category has completely electric cars, since the main intention of the organizers is to raise awareness about the effects that fuels produce on the environment. In addition, it competes on tracks affected by different ecological problems.
