Steve Borthwick was full of praise for Julian Montoya, brand new captain of The Pumas. The Leicester Tigers head coach stressed that “to captain your country is a great honor and it is also important to us that one of our players is the current captain of his team.” Borthwick highlighted the great qualities of the hooker as a group leader and assured that Montoya will be a great captain for Los Pumas.
Borthwick highlighted the importance of this recognition for Montoya whom he considers a “very passionate and committed player”. In addition, the head coach took this designation as “a great recognition of his leadership qualities.”
For this call, Leicester Tigers will contribute three players to the Pumas ranks. In addition to Montoya, Matías Moroni and Tomás Lavanini will be part of the squad that will once again be under the command of Mario Ledesma.
