LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles Lakers power forward Anthony Davis left Game 4 of the first-round series against the Phoenix Suns with a strained left groin.
Davis entered the game playing with a sprained left knee suffered in Game 3, landing awkwardly after executing a chase block on Suns star Devin Booker.
He finished Game 4 with six points and four rebounds in 19 minutes.
Davis averaged 34 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2 blocks in the first two games to give the seventh-seeded Lakers a 2-1 lead over the second-seeded Suns.
Kyle Kuzma started the third quarter in place of Davis.
The Lakers were already without Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who was ruled out for Game 4 before the engagement.
