Manny pacquiao congratulated Nonito Donaire for the knockout of Nordine oubaali to win the bantamweight belt of CMB.
“Congratulations to Nonito Donaire in a great victory by knockout! ”he wrote in Twitter. “The oldest bantamweight champion in history. You still live up to your nickname The Flash”.

Nonito returned almost 10 years later the scepter of advice, after in October 2011 he made his last defense against Omar Andrés Narvaez by defeating him by unanimous decision.
Then he climbed to 122 pounds in search of the scepter of the AMB and he did it by defeating Wilfredo Vazquez Lozada.
He also went to featherweight to win the super championship of the AMBBut in November 2018 he dropped back down to 118 pounds for three wins in four races.
In November 2019 he lost against Naoya inoue by unanimous decision by cards of 117-109, 114-113 and 116-111 with the championships of the AMB Y FIB in dispute.
Now with the knockout victory over Nordine oubaali will seek to unify against Inoue in the rematch that he will seek to be disputed this year in search of becoming a unified monarch.
“This is because I wanted to win this fight, the only thing I do not have is to be undisputed,” he said in an interview with Showtime Boxing at the end of the contest. “The next phase is to get a rematch (with Inoue).”
Naoya will defend his two belts on June 19 against Michael Dasmarinas in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Filipino John Riel Casemiro has the championship of the OMB and will defend it on August 14 against Guillermo Rigondeaux.
