Roland Garros: Suzanne-Lenglen will have a removable roof from 2024

Taking into account the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, the organization of this event confirmed the modernization of the Suzanne-Lenglen court in the Bois de Boulogne.

The new structure, which will be on the court and the stands, will be completed by a canvas, designed as a nod to the pleats created by Jean Patou for the skirt of the great tennis champion and stadium legend: Suzanne Lenglen.

The architect and urban planner of this project, Dominique Perrault, together with local and German companies wanted to pay tribute to the tennis of the time of Suzanne-Lenglen and in his time, in 1930.
