SALE 45-12 HARLEQUINS (Friday)
There was no parity at AJ Bell Stadium, where the Sharks usually play at home. Although the game started evenly, and with Harlequins hitting first thanks to Landajo’s try, after three minutes of play, the dominance of the actions was always on Sale’s side. The quick response to the Argentine’s try was immediate and came through the South African hooker, Aker Van der Merwe, who took advantage of a good play of his opening, AJ MacGinty, to leave the score even. Sharks was always superior to a rival that kept several players thinking about the semifinals. The tries of Yarde, McGuigan, Neild, Van Resburg, Rodd and Jean Luc Du Preez, shaped a victory that was too loose for a match that, beyond context, brought together two of the best teams in the Premiership.
