He was quickly overtaken by the Ducati from Jack Miller Y Johann zarco, but did not count on the presence of the KTM Miguel Oliveira, who was able to stay with a victory that was overwhelming. On the other hand, Fabio Quartararo had several problems in the end.
The world leader had just achieved his fifth consecutive pole, but several problems shook his chances. After starting with the wear of the front tire, which is usually the one that causes the most dangerous falls. So much so, that Quartararo had a mistake while trying to cut Oliveira time, having to cut the first corner.
Due to this, Quartararo was suspended with three seconds at the end of the race. Thanks to this sanction, the Ducati got on the podium and were able to cut back in the championship standings. The podium was completed by Johann Zarco in second place and Jack Miller, who, thanks to the penalty, finished in third place in the race in Catalonia.
After fourth place this Sunday, Fabio Quartararo remains in first place with 118 units. For his part, Johann Zarco was able to cut some points, reaching 108 after this date. Jack Miller climbed to the top three of the standings after finishing third. Who was fighting the championship until now, Francesco Bagnaia, barely added nine points and was fourth with 88.
