After a great season in the Championship and being chosen the best player of the tournament, Argentine striker Emiliano Buendía became a new player for Aston Villa, who paid 38 million euros to Norwich City for his pass.
Norwich City had just celebrated their promotion to the Premier League and Argentine Emiliano Buendía had been one of the pillars to achieve a return to the top flight of English football. That is why it was surprising that he got rid of the player, but the amount that Aston Villa paid multiplied that astonishment
This will undoubtedly be one of the great hiring of the summer market in Europe, which is governed by austerity after the coronavirus pandemic. Buendía, who is currently part of the squad of the Argentine national team for the first time in the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, will play alongside his compatriot Emiliano Martínez, goalkeeper for the English team.
“As Emiliano (Buendía) is in the security bubble of the Argentine team preparing for the match against Colombia, he will undergo a medical examination prior to signing his contract after the match,” Aston Villa reported after communicating his new hire.

Buendía, 24, was born in Mar del Plata and began Cadetes San Martín in that city. He then played for Getafe (2014) and Cultural and Deportivo Leonesa (2017-2018), both from Spain, until he joined Norwich City, a team with which he was featured in the last season.
