Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley will not play in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Tuesday against the LA Clippers due to a slight strain in his right hamstring.
Conley suffered the injury during the first half of the Jazz’s Game 5 win over the Memphis Grizzlies last Wednesday. He was involved in limited practice Monday before being ruled out for Game 1.
“Hopefully we’ll get him back as soon as possible,” Jazz coach Quin Snyder said. “But those things are difficult to predict.”
The 33-year-old Conley, an All-Star for the first time this season, has missed significant time due to injuries to both hamstrings during his two seasons in Utah. He missed six games in February and nine in late April and May due to a strain on his right hamstring.
Conley averaged 17.4 points and 8.6 assists for the Jazz in the first round.
