Nadia Podoroska (42 °) and Irina Begu (74 °) will dispute the semi-finals of the Roland Garros doubles tournament in view of Iga Swiatek (9th) and Bethanie Mattek-Sands (273rd, former No. 1 in doubles). For Argentina, it will be the second time in her career that she has faced Swiatek after crossing in singles during the Paris Open in 2020 for the same round.
The match will be played in the second shift of the Simonne-Mathieu and can be seen on the ESPN3 and ESPN Play screen no earlier than 9 am (Argentina time). This match will follow the other semifinal that Magda Linette and Bernarda Pera will play against Barbora Krejcíkova and Kateřina Siniakova, which will start at 8 am (Argentina time).
This will be Podoroska’s third doubles semi-final so far in 2021. The previous ones were in the WTA 250 of Phillip Island with Francesca Jones and then in the WTA 250 of Monterrey doing a double with Anna Blinkova, both with losses.
