Danny Green will be reevaluated in two weeks after an MRI confirmed he injured his right calf, the Philadelphia 76ers said Saturday.
The injury occurred during the Sixers’ victory over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 3 on Friday night.
The veteran forward will miss the rest of this series and could return in the next round if they advance.
Green was hurt in the first quarter and returned to the bench in the second half with a boot on his right leg.
The three-time NBA champion averaged 4.5 points in the first two games of the second round, shooting just 1 of 9 on 3s, but dished out eight assists in a 118-102 victory in Game 2.
Thybulle finished with seven points, Furkan Korkmaz set a playoff record with 14 and Dwight Howard had 12 to give the second unit a boost.
“The next player has to step up. I’m not sure who it will be yet,” coach Doc Rivers said after the victory on Friday.
