The Condors 7’s will travel to Monaco this Sunday to play the playoffs in search of a place to be part of the Tokyo Olympics to be held on June 19 and 20 in Japan. The cast of Chile, directed by Edmundo Olfos, will be part of the Group B with France, Hong Kong, Jamaica and Uganda.
Who referred to this participation was the captain of the team, Joaquín Huici, mentioning that: “we have trained hard in recent weeks and we are well prepared to face this challenge of being able to reach Tokyo”.
The debut of Los Cóndores will take place on June 19 against France, later it will be measured with Hong Kong and will close against Jamaica. The next day it will be the turn to face Uganda. It should be noted that all the championship matches will take place at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.
The other group will feature Tonga, Zimbabwe, Samoa, Ireland and Mexico. The men’s playoffs have ten teams competing for the final Olympic qualifying spot. Each team will face the four opponents of their group and the two best teams from each zone will qualify for the semi-finals. The winner of the final will be in Tokyo 2021.
