Russia beat Finland 1-0 and gets into the Group B fight for qualification for the round of 16 of Euro 2020, thanks to a goal from Alekseir Miranchuk.

After the arbitration decision, Russia took control of the ball, but Finland was dangerous to the counter with the pair made up of Joel Pohjanpalo and Teemu Punki. Pohjanpalo stopped the Russian area again, fired, but Igor Diveev had a great defensive action and with a sweep he prevented the shot from going to goal.

Russia lost Mário Fernandes at 25 ‘, after the footballer fell badly after finishing with his head, for which he had to leave the pitch on a stretcher and neck brace. His place was taken by Vyacheslav Karavaev, who, at 37 ‘, Jere Uronen took a goal with a sweep near the Finnish goal.

In the twilight of the first part, Alekseir Miranchuk appeared to give a brush stroke. The Russian footballer took the ball inside the Finnish area, cut towards the center to bring the ball to his left profile and sent a left-footed shot to the corner, impossible for Lukas Hradecky, who launched himself only to make the image more spectacular.

The Russians maintained dominance for the complementary party to seek the second. They tried with a shot from Rifat Zhemaletdinov that passed near the Finnish hut, but the clearest one came at 72 ‘, with a shot from Daler Kuzyaev, but a spectacular left swipe from Lukas Hradecky except for the Finnish goal.

The Finns lost their offensive strength, but still had a chance at 88 ‘to tie the score with a Robin Lod header, but he went over the goal of Russia, a team that had no major problem in the last minutes to come out with the victory.
