The Argentine National Team is already preparing to face Uruguay, for the second date of the Copa América, and the good news is that Cristian Romero seems to be recovered, but his possible return raises a question for Lionel Scaloni: Does he change name by name or the scheme?
Diego Monroig reported this Wednesday in SportsCenter AM that Cuti trained normally on Tuesday, 10 days after suffering a strain, and given that Albiceleste want their first win in Brazil, he would return to the team on Friday.
For his entry, Scaloni has two options: to enter instead of Lucas Martínez Quarta and keep the drawing 4-3-3, although the left-back is again debated between Nicolás Tagliafico and Marcos Acuña.
The other possibility is to change the scheme to a 5-3-2, something that the DT has been trying since the double date of the South American Qualifiers, where the three centrals would remain: Romero, Martínez Quarta and Nicolas Otamendi, and as a left back he could remain Tagliafico or go back Nicolás González.
The rest of the formation would be the one that played in the tie with Chile.
In this way, the Scaloni team could be: Emiliano Martínez; Gonzalo Montiel, Cristian Romero or Lucas Martínez Quarta, Nicolás Otamendi; Nicolás Tagliafico or Marcos Acuña; Giovanni Lo Celso, Leandro Paredes, Rodrigo De Paul, Nicolás González, Lionel Messi and Lautaro Martínez.
Argentina will face Uruguay, for Group B, on Friday from 9:00 p.m. in Brasilia.
