This weekend there will be a more than special race for Marc Márquez. The Spanish pilot arrives at Sachsenring, one of his more than favorite circuits. In the German Grand Prix, Márquez achieved ten victories since his debut in Moto3, the last being in 2019. In 2020 there were two problems for the Spaniard: the first is that he did not run there due to the pandemic, and the second was his shoulder injury.
That is why Márquez did not want to let this weekend go by without giving a special detail for this race. The eight-time World Champion presented a new helmet for this weekend. A classic design, recalling the designs of their ancestors in the World Cup. On his Twitter account, Marc Márquez shared a video showing the design of his new helmet.
“My special ‘retro’ helmet for the German GP. This time we have been inspired by the designs that pilots used in the 70s and 80s. I have fallen in love with this design. I hope it brings me luck, ”wrote the Spanish rider on his profile, who will be looking for his 11th victory on the German track. In his words, physical limitations will have less consequences this weekend.
“Here at Sachsenring there will be fewer or no limitations because it is a left-wing circuit. Where I am suffering a lot now is if there are changes of direction at high speed. Here’s one, so I don’t think it suffers much there. Several in one lap you get more tired, like in Mugello. In the left curves I do not suffer any limitation, to the right yes and there are only three curves ”, he commented.
“The arm will support it better and, physically, I feel better and better. Little by little they take away antibiotics, I am feeling better emotionally ”, added the Cervera driver with confidence, who has a total of 25 points and is located in 14th position in the championship of MotoGP. Your partner, Pol Espargaro, is with 29 units, above him.
