After an impressive tournament, Blues will define the Super Rugby Trans Tasman title next Saturday against Highlanders, in search of being the champion of the contest in an undefeated way.
The Auckland franchise started the championship with a beating of Rebels as a visitor, by thrashing him 50-3. From the beginning, Blues showed all their power against the Australian teams.
On the second day, Blues defeated Waratahs at home by 48-21, to continue with a perfect score and undefeated in the Super Rugby Trans Tasman.
Then the Auckland team hosted the Brumbies, one of the finalists in the latest edition of Super Rugby Australia. This meeting ended with a new victory, this time by 38 to 10.
On the fourth date, Blues visited Reds, the last champion of Super Rugby Australia, and this time the result was more than even: triumph by 31 to 24 for the New Zealand team, which was only one game away from advancing to the tournament’s grand final.
Finally, on the last date of the regular phase, Blues defeated the Argentinean Western Force by 31 to 21, to enter the definition for the title against Highlanders.
