(EFE) – Chile beat Bolivia 1-0 this Friday, with a goal from Anglo-Chilean Ben Brereton, in the first match of the second day of Group A of the Copa América, which was played at the Arena Pantanal stadium in Cuiabá.
In the 10th minute, Brereton shot from the center of the area, after Eduardo Vargas was enabled in a counterattack, and beat the goal defended by Bolivian goalkeeper Carlos Lampe.
A goal from another world!
The game was an absolute domain for La Roja but the scoreboard did not show it and it was Brereton’s score that defined the actions between those led by Martín Lasarte and those of the Venezuelan César Farías.
Nothing to discuss with the Spanish central Jesús Gil Manzano.
Bolivia tried it with Erwin Saavedra and La Roja also had danger options through Guillermo Maripán.
Chile leads the classification in Group A, with 4 points, and caresses its place in the quarterfinals.
La Verde, meanwhile, is bottom without points, after two defeats, the first against Paraguay and will rest on the next date.
Chile will face Uruguay on Monday, June 21, which debuts this Friday at the second hour against Argentina in the famous Clásico del Río de La Plata.
