Uruguay M20 defeated Georgia M20 by 20 to 15 in the second match of both selected in the U20 International Series. Los Teritos had a fierce defense as a banner and celebrated their first victory in the tournament. The first half was dominated by the Georgian cast. From the good size of their forwards, the Junior Lelos imposed conditions and reached the try through Kuntelia, after a good push from the line and maul.
Despite the differences, Uruguay had the merit, based on a great defense, of always staying in the game and not moving away on the scoreboard. The prize for the effort came with the try by Joaquín Myska, at the end of the first stage, which left things with a slim advantage (10 to 8) for the Europeans, but with 40 minutes ahead.
In the complement, Los Teritos cheered up a little more and reached the rival ingoal twice. Taking advantage of the extra man for the yellow to Jimsheleishvili, the beautiful tries of Tafernaberry and Algorta appeared to begin to define a match that had not started well for those in the blue shirt.
Georgia came over the end again with the maul. Jimsheleishvili’s try put a bit of suspense on the Uruguayan boys’ triumph. However, again with a solid defense as a standard, those led by Gonzalo Camardón managed to close ranks and celebrate for the first time in the U20 International Series.
