This Sunday, Max verstappen he was left with a new victory in the Formula 1. The Dutchman took an important advantage to Lewis hamilton, who can’t find the car to fight the Red bull. However, a very important news occurred after the celebration of the race: the sports commissioners of the FIA they gave a harsh warning to the team, for the Verstappen celebration: «It will not be tolerated«.
Max Verstappen dominated the Styrian Grand Prix with pleasure. As soon as the race started, the Belgian pilot, nationalized Dutch, was forceful. He obtained a win from end to end, which was not only to maintain the lead of the championship, but to further enlarge his advantage with Hamilton. Now ‘Mad Max’ takes 18 points from the last Formula 1 champion.
Once he was victorious, Verstappen went very slowly down the main straight. As he passed the finish line, he approached the pit fence, where his mechanics were clad in to celebrate the victory, and made a gesture: he skidded the wheels in celebration. This gesture did not attract the attention of the fans, who took it as another celebration of the Dutchman.
Notwithstanding the International Automobile Federation (FIA), with Michael Masi as race director, he gave a strong warning to the Red Bull team and to Verstappen. The gesture of burning the tires goes against what the regulations indicate: “The celebration must be carried out safely and without putting the other drivers or commissars at risk”, reads the regulations.
Race director Michael Masi assured that he reviewed Verstappen’s celebration as soon as it happened: “I did it as soon as it happened. It was not an ideal situation, so I spoke with the team immediately and told them accordingly, that it is something that will not be tolerated again in the future ”, Masi shot after the test at the Red bull ring.
