Wilder Cartagena stopped being a player of Godoy Cruz, but his situation at the club level does not detract from his great immediate objective: to continue to transcend with the Peruvian team in the Copa América.
“I’m fine, very calm and confident. I am grateful to the teacher for the minutes that I have to play and I hope to continue contributing for the good of the national team,” Cartagena told Fútbol Como Cancha.
The national midfielder considered that there is no favorite at the crossroads with Paraguay. “We have characterized ourselves by going step by step, I think it would be nice to enjoy a final, but first we think about the game on Friday. If not, it can be something hard,” he said.
Regarding his future at the club level, Wilder Cartagena assured that he does not think about returning to Peruvian football and that he will calmly analyze the offers that come to him.
“My goal is to continue abroad, thank God I have some offers that I am analyzing. I have offers from South America and Europe, but now my concentration is on the America’s Cup,” he said.
