Jesús Valenzuela will be the main referee for the second semifinal between Argentina and Colombia of the Copa América.
The Venezuelan judge comes from being in two of the last seven games in Argentina. First, in Santiago de Estero against Chile for Qualifying where he did not collect the penalty on Lautaro Martínez and had to be warned by the VAR to sanction the maximum penalty that Messi changed for a goal. Then, Alexis Sánchez would score the final 1-1.
Meanwhile, for Copa América he directed it against Paraguay, where the National Team won 1-0 thanks to Alejandro Gómez’s goal at the beginning of the match. There, Valenzuela did not have any controversy.
