Estefanía Banini (Argentina; June 21, 1990) became a player for Atlético de Madrid Femenino until 2023.
The Argentine midfielder arrives from Levante UD and signs for two seasons with our club, after passing the relevant medical examination at the University of Navarra Clinic before signing her new contract.
Banini began his career in 2011 at the Chilean club Colo-Colo, where he played until 2015 when he signed for the American club Washington Spirit. After a year at the American club, Banini traveled to Spain to join the ranks of Valencia CF, a club in which he played for two seasons until signing for Levante UD, the club from which he came.
In her first statements as an Atlético de Madrid Femenino player, she assured that she is happy to arrive at Atlético de Madrid: “I am very happy to belong to this great club, with great enthusiasm and anxiety for the season to begin. This is enormous pride ”.
“I am very happy to be here, we are going to do our best, 100% as this team and this club have always done, and we are going to fight for all of them,” our new player continued.

Along with Barcelona, Atlético Madrid is one of the most prominent clubs in Spanish women’s football in recent years. He has won four Leagues (the last three consecutively in the 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons), a Spanish Cup (2016) and, in the last year, a Spanish Super Cup.
In recent times, however, the Rojiblanco club lost some ground to the power of Barcelona (which also won the Champions League) and was also overtaken by the growth of teams such as the brand new Real Madrid and Levante (which featured Banini between their ranks). The arrival of the Argentine midfielder is a bet to get back into the discussion for the title.
