Team USA: Three players (protocols), leave the training field

Team USA selections Immanuel Quickley of the New York Knicks and Miles Bridges and PJ Washington of the Charlotte Hornets are out of training camp due to COVID-19 protocols, sources told ESPN.

All three players were out of the team to practice at UNLV on Thursday. The nine members of Team USA who are in Las Vegas were on the court for the day’s training.

Additionally, Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart sprained his ankle and had to leave the national team for treatment, sources said.

On Wednesday, Team USA lost wing Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves to a sprained ankle.

The team will practice again on Friday in their last formal training session. The United States will play its first exhibition game on Saturday against Nigeria in Las Vegas.
