Finn Russell suffered an Achilles tendon injury and will not play for at least two weeks

Apparently the news is not very good for Finn russell, back of British & Irish Lions. Through the word of Neil jenkins, the player’s coach, it was confirmed that he suffered a tear small in the Achilles tendon.

After a clear victory for the Lions, 71-31 against a tough team like Sharks, Russell He ended the game with an ailment that they now confirm to be a simple tear. The injury will keep him off the court for at least the next two weeks.

Jenkins clarified that he will do his best for a quick recovery and that they are optimistic that the player will react in the best way. He will begin his recovery, with a boot, the first days and then he will see how the player evolves.

Instead, Warren Gatland and his staff cited the young English opening of Harlequins Marcus Smith who is already on South African soil.
