In May of this year the AFA had reached an agreement with the same company, which launched the Albiceleste ‘Fan Tokens’ and became a sponsor of the men’s and women’s national teams.

The released statement defines as “a D2C (direct to consumer) platform that uses ‘blockchain’ technology to offer sports organizations tools with which to retain and monetize their global fans.”

The president of the AFA, Claudio Tapia, said that the “alliance” will be “very positive for both” and that it “will strengthen the bond.”
