In 2020, Garay suffered a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee and after recovering he ended his contract with Valencia. “I managed to recover to the point of negotiating with several clubs for my return. Garay then thanks the clubs for which the Argentina Selection, with whom he reached the World Cup final in 2014.
