The defeat of Stefanos Tsitsipas (4th) in view of Filip Krajinovic (44th) in the quarterfinals of ATP 250 from Hamburg left one of the funniest moments of 2021.
During the second set, with the Serbian’s partial victory at that time 3-1, Tsitsipas was preparing to receive. Krajinovic executed his serve and, before the classic one-handed backhand from the attendant, his racket broke.
It broke between the grip and the rim, so after being thrown into the air, Krajinovic defined without problems. Tsitsipas only managed to hold what was left of his racket, wait for the point to end and go find a new one.
