This weekend the new test format for the Formula 1. The three days of the Grand Prix will have important activity. However, this did not cause anything favorable for some fans, and especially for some drivers. Sebastian vettel was one of those who was somewhat disappointed by some details of the new classification: “That’s wrong”.
This Friday there was qualification for the Grand Prix of Great Britain of Formula 1. Many fans, used to having only the practice sessions these days, did not know about this. However, the cattle of this classification (Lewis Hamilton yesterday) has 100 poles, the same as until a week ago. What happened?.
As it was not the classification for the traditional race every Sunday, Formula 1 decided that the best time of this Friday does not count in the historical statistics of pole position. This is something that the category must modify, in the words of Sebastian Vettel this Friday, or at least modify the prize awarded.
Criticism of Vettel
“I think it’s wrong, because the pole position is the fastest lap of the qualifying session. It is somewhat confusing. If this only happens once it won’t do much damage, but it would be weird if we ended up having ten sprints. The pole position would have to be for the one who makes the fastest lap ”.
In the next few hours the first sprint race in the history of Formula 1 will begin. Lewis Hamilton arrives at this test with 100 poles, since yesterday he was awarded the prize of the ‘King of speed ‘. However, if he wins the test this Saturday, he will achieve a new pole for the statistics, reaching 101.
