The return of rugby in Buenos Aires and the presentation of the champion, was made to wait for the pandemic but it came. And it was with a great match in which SIC imposed conditions on Pucará and won 43-22. Tries for all tastes and above all the smile of the players, for the return of the oval to the vernacular. I relived the minute by minute of the date.
The SIC won because it was effective every time it was proposed and because in the first 20 ‘he made his game prevail against a team of Pucará that he could not find the compass of the match. Ball to the tips, burst of speed and second row tries Lucas Sommer and Federico Haedo and wing, Mateo Madero. A difference that put the SIC 20-3 up on the plate.
Pucará found in the individuals the formula to be able to straighten the result. Thomas Buckley he made a one-man game for his point, left three marks on the road and entered the ingoal with traction. Later, Germán Klubus was cut at the base and made the walk to the try.
Those individuals gave the southern people the impetus they needed to encourage themselves to have more prominence. The SIC lowered the revolutions, left that fast walk for a more combative one, but when the visiting team was better, the locals set the alarms and put order again and, above all, to enlarge the difference in the scoreboard.
In 7´ they scored three tries with Juan Soares Gache, who found the space in the last meters; Thomas Meyrelles Y Lucas Sommer. It was a lot in a short time and there was no more chance of twisting the course.
They stayed for the end the cumshot of Iñaki Delguy that left everyone standing until the ingoal and the handsome newcomer Justo Piccardo to seal the final 43-22. Buenos Aires rugby returned, The champion returned, the joy returned for all lovers of the oval.
