Ivo Karlovic announced his retirement and what will be his last tournament

Ivo Karlovic, current 210 ° in the world and ex 14th in 2008, will compete in the ATP 250 in Los Cabos after receiving a wild card for the Mexican pageant.

The Croatian, who will make his debut against Jordan Thompson (71st), is playing his last tournaments. Los Cabos manager Geoffrey Fernández said after the main draw draw: “Ivo Karlovic told us that he will retire at the US Open and we are grateful to him, we are very fond of him for being our first champion. It is good and deserved to see him off like this.”

Karlovic debuted on the ATP circuit in 2001, at the ATP 250 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. There he played the first round against Marc Rosset and lost 7-6 (3) and 6-3. Throughout his 20-year career, the Zagreb native won eight ATP tournaments (Houston, Stockholm, Los Cabos, Newport, Bogota, Delray Beach and Nottingham on two occasions) and was Davis Cup champion in 2005 and runner-up in 2016 after falling to Argentina.
