The Dominican player’s international basketball journey Angel Luis Delgado keep going.
The player in the painting confirmed through his social networks that he becomes part of RETAbet Bilbao Basket of the Endesa League of Spain.
Delgado comes from Movistar Estudiantes, where he won the Most Valuable Player awards for the months of April and May, standing out in the last 10 games with averages of 15.9 points per game and 12.9 rebounds.
“I am super excited and happy to be part of Bilbao Basket. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of a great team, ”the 26-year-old player wrote on his social media.
The Haina native’s journey began in the NCAA with the University of Seton Hall where he was selected as Rookie of the Year of the Big East Conference in the 2014-15 campaign, and then went on to the GLeague with the Clippers from Agua Caliente, and with whom he made his debut in the NBA.
In 2019-20 the Dominican flew to Israel where he was with averages of 8.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game with Hapoel Holon.
“Ángel Delgado is going to give us his rebounding instinct on both hoops. In that aspect, that of the rebound, he is a first level player as demonstrated last season in the Endesa League. He is also a very effective player near the rim, where he uses his body and shooting feints very well ”, declared Rafa Pueyo, the Bilbao club’s sports director on his website.
Delgado recently declined to play for the Dominican Republic National Team at the FIBA pre-Olympic in Belgrade, alluding to personal and family reasons.
“This decision is very hard because the @rdbseleccion means a lot to me, but in this case I have to put my family above, especially my son who has just been born,” said the center of the National Team on their social networks .
