Andrea Collarini (210 °) had his first time in Umag, Croatia, with defeat. The New York-born but Argentine representative entered for the first time in his career at main draw of an ATP tournament although the result was not as expected.

In his premiere duel, Collarini (29 years old) relented before the local Duje Ajdukovic (275 °), another debutant in an ATP main draw, with sets of 6-3 and 6-2 in one hour and 14 minutes of play.

Collarini had an outstanding participation in youth stages, and even played the junior final at Roland Garros in 2010, which he lost to Agustín Velotti; then he went on to perform on the futures and challengers tour, the minor categories of ATP tournaments.

In addition, he managed to overcome a classification after 20 previous attempts in which he could not access a tournament as a professional. He holds a title at the Challenger level: L’Aquila, Italy, in 2019.
